Obituary

Walter L. Webb-Lincoln, De

Walter Webb suddenly and peacefully left this world on December 2, 2021 to start his next “carefree” journey.   He loved his life and will be missed by so many.

Walter was born in Rock Hall, MD. on April 2, 1955 to Jesse Webb and Marie Kirwan.  Walter lived most of his teenage years in Rock Hall and graduated from Rock Hall High School in 1973.   Walt continued his education and received his Master’s Degree in Business from Wilmington College & Del Tech.  His proudest moment in his life was when he joined the Air Force in 1973.  His military career gave him the opportunity to travel & experience some of his greatest life memories. He retired as a Master Sergeant Air Traffic Controller.   Walt talked often of his travels and people that he met.  It was a special time in his life.

Once Walter retired from the Air Force he went on to have a career in the infrastructure industry maintaining heavy equipment, dispatching, and sales with large companies with A. P. Croll & Son, Inc. and Independence.

For many years Walt & his father, Jesse owned and operated a charter boat “High Hopes” in Slaughter Beach.   It was a dream opportunity for him because he was the most relaxed and comfortable on the water.

For the past five years of his life he worked as an Account Manager for Sullivan’s Landscaping & Garden Center in Milford.  He enjoyed this part of his life & was grateful for the opportunity to help with the family owned business.   Walt thought of the Sullivan’s as his extended family.

Walter absolutely loved being on the water.  He loved to fish whether on a small fresh water pond, salt water, or off shore trying to catch the last of his bucket list- A White Marlin.   He enjoyed his fishing trips to Costa Rica (with his ship yard buddies), Outer Banks, and Venice, Louisiana.  His proudest & most memorable fishing trips are when he took his wife Angela on her first trip to Venice to catch the “Big Reds” and their trip to Outer Banks for her first off shore fishing to catch a Marlin.

Walter was a lover of life.  His relationship with others ran deep and were very important to him. His smile, “belly laughs”, quick wit, sarcasm, & larger than life personality will be missed by all who loved him.  He lived for his Friday night gatherings at the Watson’s (his barstool will be filled by no other) for crab feasts, blue-mountains, food, laughter & great friends.   Some of his fondest memories were at “Trails End” camp grounds spending weekends with his family.  He enjoyed deer hunting and cold mornings while duck & goose hunting with his boys.  Walter also loved to attend Ducks Unlimited events & was proud of many of his purchases (notably his Tall Case Clock).  He loved to travel.

Some of Walter’s best years in his life were after he met the love of his life Angela.  They “completed” each other & had many plans for the future.  They married in July 2016.  They enjoyed their home together, was especially proud of their yard, and the improvements that they had made recently.  He will be missed by his fur babies “Shadow & Girl Friend”.

He was a member of Milford Moose Lodge #1949, Long Neck Am Vets, & The American Legion.

Walter was preceded in by his brother Jesse Webb, Jr., his step brothe Dale Passwaters, his step father William Kirwan, and his step son Bryan Edmundson.

He is survived by his wife Angela, father & step mother, Jesse & Joyce Webb, mother, Marie Kirwan (Melvin Kendall), his children, Jon Webb (Marsha) Cynthia Blendowski (Jason) brothers John Webb (Chris) David Webb (Sharrie) Chris Webb (Linda) Sister Donna Lins (Tom) Sister In Law Marie Webb.
