Valvert Fox

December 12, 1938 — January 12, 2022

******DUE TO WEATHER, SERVICES HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FEBRUARY 5TH**********

Lincoln City – Valvert “Buddy” went to be with the Lord, Wednesday January 12, 2022.  Born at home in Milford on December 12, 1938, son of the late Lucius Taralto and Hazel Lillian (Willey) Fox.  Val joined the US Marine Corps in 1956.  After his military service he joined the Milford Police Department and later joined the DE State Police where he retired as Lieutenant assigned to the firing range in 1978.  He was part of the DSP shooting team and continued to shoot competitively and recreationally until his passing.

Buddy enjoyed many an adventure; horse riding and roping, hunting, fishing (rod or bow), canoeing, boating, camping, archery, carriage driving, western saddle making, tactical and combat shooting, and photography.  He was a Front Sight graduate, a musician, and dancing partner with his loving wife.  As many know he was always happy to share his adventures with anyone

He cherished his time with his family and friends.  He and Buddy Vincent have rode, roped, and wrangled may a cow either in the pen or running in the wild.  Sometimes on the head sometimes on the heal.  He loved to visit with his son, Brian, and the grandbabies enjoying many of his adventures with them too.  Proud of all their accomplishments.

Val was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He found the Lord through their teachings, becoming a better man.  He loved doing family research, as many an hour was spent finding where he and his family hailed.  Serving as a High Priest was an honor.  He has touched so many lives, some harder than others, but was never afraid to lend a helping hand.

In addition to his parents, Valvert was preceded in death by Dorlene Ann (2016), his wife of 41 yrs, his son Brian Kevin (2021), sisters Madeline Thomas and Geraldine Clark, and brother Duane Fox.  He is survived by his daughter Angela Fox, daughter-in-law Karen (Woodbury) Fox, two stepdaughters, sister Charlotte Fox and sister-in-law Connie Fox, eight grandbabies and several great grandbabies.
