Susanne Truitt

Milford - On May 17, 2021, Susanne Cole Truitt went home to be with the Lord.

She was born on November 7, 1927, in Wilmington, DE to the late Earl and Josephine Cole.

Susanne was a 1946 graduate from Pierre S. DuPont High School.

Mrs. Truitt worked for 32 years at Dover Air Force Base as a civilian secretary, where she received multiple awards.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, Victory Chapter #15.

Susanne enjoyed knitting and needlepoint, playing puzzles and games with friends. In her spare time she would knit hats for infants born at local hospitals.

Mrs. Truitt is preceded in death by her husband Warren E. Truitt.

She is survived by her children, Paul W. Truitt and his wife Yoshiko, Sandra L. Truitt, Jo Ann Burnett and her husband Bryan, and Dale A. Truitt and his wife Ann, and six grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, from 11AM to 12PM on Wednesday 5/26, with a funeral service at 12 noon.

Interment is Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
