Sheila Zook

On April 22, 2023, Sheila Ann (Meredith) Zook, age 60, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Milford on February 21, 1963 to the late Louis and Kathryn “Kitty” Meredith.

Sheila was a dedicated mother, grandmother and wife.  Her entire life revolved around her family. She found fulfillment in her successful career as a registered nurse but her greatest joy was the years she spent caring for her grandchildren after her retirement.

Her strong faith was her refuge and also an everlasting gift she shared with those close to her. She constantly reminded her family that “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”  She was the embodiment of strength and her fun-loving spirit was contagious. She was infamously known for her dancing, generosity, tenacity and fierce love of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Zook; children, Krystal (Zook) McGill and Brandon Zook and his wife Nataliya; her grandchildren, Noah, Kathryn, Calvin and Aurora; her siblings, Steve Meredith, Diane Short and her husband Donald, Cathy Williams and David Cannon; her nephew, Donnie Short and his wife Joy; and her great-nephews, Ty Short and Brice Short.
