Jason Oakey

Milford – On October 3, 2021, Jason T. Oakey peacefully passed away at Delaware Hospice.

He was born on February 16, 1981, in Wilson, N.C. to the late Bobby and Joyce Oakey.

Jason was a 2000 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Delaware State.

He honorably served our country in the Army from 2010 to 2015.

Jason had been working as an Agriculture Assistant at Del Tech.

He was a proud veteran and belonged to Delaware Helping Warriors Outdoors.

Mr. Oakey enjoyed being outdoors and loved fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Brittany Oakey, his daughter, Jacey Oakey, his brother, Kyle Oakey and his wife Joelle, his stepfather, Wilson Shultie, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 10AM to 11AM on Tuesday 10/12, with a funeral service at 11AM.

Interment is private.
