April Rawlins

Our beloved April Chiarito Rawlins, 45, passed away on Monday December 20, 2021 in Milford, DE.  She was born on September 15, 1976 in Albany, N.Y. to Diane E. Johnson and the late William R. Chiarito.

April attended Barkley Elementary school in Amsterdam, NY and graduated from Ramsay High in Birmingham, AL. She received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/ English Literature from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with honors. Although April held many jobs, working for Walgreens in Birmingham, Al and Milford, DE were her most recent.

April showed love to everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her luminous smile, the calming sweetness of her voice, and the joy she brought to others in her unique creations, including head-pieces. Simple things in life made April happy. She had many talents across mediums: creative writing, singing, playing ukulele, making jewelry and (Reborn) vinyl baby dolls. April enjoyed taking leisurely walks, riding her tricycle, playing board games with family, playing with her kitty-cat, and coloring, She also liked taking photographs of flowers and the natural world. Above all, she adored the Father God, her Creator.

Mrs. Rawlins is survived by her loving and caring husband Nicholas Allen Rawlins of Milford, DE.; mother Diane E. (Mirabito) Johnson, step-father Harold W. (Pop) Johnson of Birmingham, AL;  Priscilla and Ed Graven of Milford, DE; Richard and Rebecca Rawlins of NC; her brother Michael A. Chiarito of Birmingham, AL; siblings Lisa (Chiarito) Parlapiano and family; Joanne (Chiarito) Yacovelli and family; Terri (Chiarito) Feury and family, and Richard W. Chiarito and family--all of New York State; step -brother Kristopher Johnson of Phoenix AZ. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she cherished.

A memorial celebration of April's life and spirit will be held in the future
