Tekliong See, 97, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on November 1, 2025. Tekliong, the son of See Yek Tay and See Ho Yim, was born on October 19, 2028 in Xiamen, China. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Felicitas See, of 57 years.

At six years old, Tekliong and his mother moved to the Philippines and grew up in Capiz, Roxas City. The onset of World War II disrupted life and delayed his academic pursuits. But, Tekliong endured and survived the hardships and devastation of war, and graduated from Chiang Kai-shek High School in Manila, Philippines. He graduated from National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Felicitas Choa. They married in 1960.

Upon graduating college, Tekliong taught at Chiang Kai Sek University, a renowned Chinese school in Manila, Philippines before immigrating to the United States in 1970. They settled in New Jersey, where they raised their family.

Tekliong will be remembered for his many passions, stories, and sage advice. He is fondly remembered for his love of fishing, cooking his specialty Chinese meat buns, playing his accordion during many Christmas gatherings, his relentless curiosity for learning, and countless weekends playing Mah Jong with his life-long friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Tekliong is survived by his loving children, Diane (Phillip C) Zranchev, Steven (Kathy), and Ivy (Peter Wing-tai) Yiu; nine cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Alex Boyce), Phillip L, Liana, Stephanie (Jeremy) Castaing, Matthew, Carson, Charlotte, Jordan (Maura) and Emili; and three great granddaughters, Ava, Ellie and Clover. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Mei Leng Choa, Lulu (Jason) Kau, Siok Hua Choa, and brother-in-law, Bonifacio (Rose) Choa, along with nephews and nieces throughout the world.

He will also be deeply missed by his beloved, adopted Mah Jong family, a bond spanning more than 70 years, with members spanning Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, California, and Hawaii.
