On Saturday October 18th, Sandra R. Fox Ferguson, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She was 82.
Sandra was born on April 13th, 1943 in Chester, PA to the late Samuel and Verna Fox.
She grew up in Woodlyn, PA until her family moved to Newark when she was 12.
Sandra graduated from Newark High School in 1961. She wanted to become a teacher and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from University of Delaware in 1965. She furthered her education, receiving a Master’s degree in Education at a later date.
Mrs. Fox Ferguson taught school in the Cecil County Public School District.
She was a member of the New Castle Baptist Church and later Lighthouse: A Baptist Church, and the U.S. Power Squad.
Sandra enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, boating on the Chesapeake, taking cruises, and traveling.
Mrs. Fox Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Shelley Kimmey and her husband Christopher, her grandsons, Chase and Carter Kimmey, her brother, James Fox and his wife Patricia, her niece, Heather Burgess and her husband Bradley, and her nephews, Eric Fox and his wife Jennifer, Ryan Fox and his wife Kayla Hughes, and Cory Frederick and his wife Christine.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home on Friday October 24th starting at 10AM. A funeral service will be held at 11AM.
Interment is Milford Community Cemetery.
