On June 9, 2024, Sallie Anise Rutter, age 92, of Lincoln (formally of Claymont), peacefully passed away while being surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on October 13, 1931 in Reading, PA to the late Edward and Sally Roe.
Mrs. Rutter was an avid reader. She spent many hours enjoying her books and also enjoyed reading children books to her great grandkids. The last three years of watching them grow brought her much joy and happiness.
Anise was preceded in death by her son, Gary Stevenson.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Stevenson and his wife Michele of King of Prussia, and Bruce Rutter and his wife Kathy of Lincoln, DE, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday 6/12 at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805.
