Ruth J. Peters

Ruth Jane Peters (née Ford), age 88, passed away on June 7, 2026 at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on April 15, 1938, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Leona and John Ford. Throughout her life, Ruth worked in the retail industry and spent many years living in Delaware.

Ruth was a mother to four daughters, a grandmother to five grandchildren, and great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.

She found joy in crocheting, completing puzzles, social media, and staying connected with family, friends and community events.

Her life touched many people in meaningful ways, and those who knew her will remember the role she played in their lives and family history.

In accordance with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
