On November 7th, 2025, with his family by his side, Ronald C. Hearn, peacefully passed away at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford. He was 82.

Ronald was born on December 12th, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Raymond and Pauline Hearn. The family moved to Laurel, DE shortly after he was born and he grew up there, graduating from Laurel High School in 1960.

He was well known for his time at Masten Lumber, where he worked for 25 years, retiring as a Store Manager.

Mr. Hearn was very active in the Milford Jaycee Club, serving as the club’s president and state director.

He enjoyed watching Nascar, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, his beloved cat, Cabela, putting together puzzles and was well known for the tomatoes from his garden. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his five grandchildren and watching them grow.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Anita Lynn Hearn. He is also survived by his two children, Stephen Hearn (Alex March), and Lindsay Rosebrooks (Clay Rosebrooks) his grandchildren, Max, Amelia and Lila Hearn, and Clay Jr., Brayden, and Landon Rosebrooks; his sister, Betty Graham; sister-in-law, Joyce Hearn; his brother-in-law, Howard Johnson (Mona); and sister-in-law, Carol Evans and her partner Tina; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hearn was preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings, Marie Hearn, Roger Lamont Hearn, Raymond A. Hearn, Jr., and William Lee Hearn.

The family will have a visitation at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday November 15th.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the entire ambulance team at Carlisle Fire Department, who always responded quickly and with compassion whenever needed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name be made to the Carlisle Fire Department, P.O. Box 292, Milford, DE 19963.
