John "Ron" Annett
STAYTONVILLE - John R. Annett passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Milford on July 17, 1931, son of the late John Henry Annett and Blanche (Stayton) Annett.
Ron served in the Coast Guard before returning home to work with his father on the family farm. He later accepted a position with General Foods in Dover. After his retirement from the company, Ron pursued his interest in real estate and became a realtor with the Marvel Agency in Milford for several years.
He was a member and twice Commander of the Power Squadron, a member of the NY Yacht Club, a member and past president of the Sussex County Realtor Association, and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Homosassa, Florida.
Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maymar W. Annett; a son, Gary Baucum and his wife Lacy of Spokane, WA; two daughters, Elrita Annett of Staytonville, and Kim Dewey and her husband Jay of Orlando, FL; a brother, Eric Annett and his wife Norma Jean of Sebring, FL; a cousin, Herman McNatt and his wife Dottie of Valrico, FL; six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
A memorial service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may greet the family after 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be held privately.
