Richard A Vican

On August 13, 2023, Mr. Richard A. Vican, went home to be with the Lord. He was 80.
Mr. Vican was born on October 23, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Antony and Betty Vican.
Richard graduated from Milford High School in 1960.
He honorably served our country in both the Army and the Navy for 26 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW3).
Richard was a Past President of the Milford Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones award. Mr. Vican was very active at his church, Christ Episcopal in Milford, where he served as church Treasurer and on the Vestry. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography and fishing.
Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Denise Vican. He is also survived by his children, Dawn Dunlap Orchard and her wife Heather Orchard, Candice Morris and her partner Tim Turner, and son Kevin A. Vican, his grandchildren, Julian Powell and Emerald S. Morris, and his siblings, Antony Vican, Jr., Mark Vican and his wife Chris, Mary Sue Vican, and Brice Vican and his wife Julie.
Mr. Vican was preceded in death by his grandson, Axel Morris.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday 10/6 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford. Friends may arrive at 10AM.
