Richard A. Rogers, Sr.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Richard A. Rogers, Sr., peacefully passed away at Accent Care Hospice at Wilmington Hospital. He was 87.

Richard was born on March 4, 1939, to the late Eugene and Ida Rogers, in Milford, DE. He grew up on N.E. 4th Street and graduated from Milford High School in 1957.

Richard worked for the DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford for 35 years retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed building and flying model remote control airplanes and was a member of the several aeromodelers clubs over the years.

He also enjoyed golfing and fishing and going with family and friends to Cape Hatteras.

Mr. Rogers is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Faye Rogers, his daughter, Pamela Williamson and her husband Rexx; his son, Allen Rogers; grandchildren, Colton Williamson (Allie Hoffman) and Ethan Rogers; and his brothers, Steve Rogers and his wife Pat, and Kenny Rogers and his wife Maude.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Jean Hill and Shirly Jester.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday August 31st at Milford Community Cemetery.
