Richard Hood

On November 20, 2022, Richard L. Hood, peacefully passed away at Milford Center.

He was born on October 31, 1954, in Milford, DE to the late Vernon P. Hood and Marian Hood.

Mr. Hood graduated from Milford High School in 1973.

He worked in Maintenance at the State of Delaware for over 30 years.

Richard enjoyed going to Wilson Auctions on Saturday mornings. He liked to ride around, going shopping, and antiquing. No one was a stranger to Richard because he would talk to anyone.

He is survived by his siblings, Verna Cannon and her husband Harvey, Phyllis Fisher and her husband Bill, Delores Schuler, Brenda Hood, Marian Hovatter and her husband Dave, Vernon Hood and his wife Jana, his two dogs, Betty and Cindy, and best friends, Sandy and Mike McCann, and Melissa Petrucci. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Alice Hood Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, at 8PM on Wednesday 12/7, with visitation starting at 6PM.

Interment is Private.
