SEAFORD - F. Richard Crovetto, age 84, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

He was born in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania on July 5, 1929, son of the late Felix L. and Mary Bellando Crovetto.

Mr. Crovetto was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during World War II.

Richard graduated in 1953 from Wesley College in Dover and continued his education at Ferris University in Big Rapids, Michigan, graduating in 1957 with a degree in Pharmacy.

He worked as a Pharmacist for 40 years; he owned and operated Millsboro Pharmacy, and worked at many other Pharmacies throughout his career.

Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the American Legion Post #6 in Seaford. He also attended St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Crovetto, and James Crovetto, and a nephew, Matthew Crovetto.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Emma P. Crovetto; two daughters, Mary Crovetto Phillips Short and her husband Edward of Delmar, MD, and Nancy Crovetto of Seaford; four grandchildren, Dustin C. Shultie and his wife Shannon, Christopher T. Phillips, Corey R. Phillips, and Lindsey M. Short; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Crovetto of Glen Mills, PA, and Ruth Crovetto of Wilmington; nieces, Joanne Booth, and Angela C. Wright; and a nephew, Kenneth Crovetto.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 12:00 p.m.

Burial will follow the service in the Milford Community Cemetery on N. Walnut Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the American Legion Post #6, P.O. Box 781, Seaford, DE, 19973 or to Season's Hospice, 220 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE, 19713.
