On March 26, 2026, Richard Swain Andrews, III (Dicky), peacefully passed away at Delaware Hospice. He was 85.

Dicky was born on May 10, 1940, in Cambridge, MD, to the late Richard Jr. and Florence Andrews.

Dicky graduated from Mardela Springs High School in 1958.

Dicky honorably served our country in the Navy from 1958 to 1964.

After the Navy, Dicky worked at Republic Steel Corp. He then retired after 27 years of service from E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. in research and development. After retirement, he drove the Taxi for Wadkins Garage then went on to drive for KSI.

He was very community minded and was a lifetime member of the Milford Lions Club, and enjoyed helping at St. John’s the Apostle.

In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking.

Dicky is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia Andrews. He is also survived by his daughter, Denise Clifton and her husband Richard, his son, Richard Swain Andrews, IV, and his wife Patricia, his grandchildren, Kyle Morris and his wife Heather, Brandon Morris and his wife Victoria, Cory Morris and his wife Emily, and Amber Krajewski and her husband Josh, his great grandchildren, Avery Krajewski, Grayson Morris and his brother, Donald Andrews and his wife Alice. Many more extended family members.

Celebration of Life to be held at a later date and location to be announced.
