On December 15, 2024, Ray E. Drumheller, while surrounded by his loved ones, peacefully passed away at his home in Milford. He was 91.
Ray was born in Kratzerville, PA on May 18, 1933, to the late Charles and Carrie Drumheller.
He graduated from Glen-Nor High School, now Interboro High School, in 1951.
Mr. Drumheller learned how to be a Plasterer from his father and grandfather at age of 7. Following High School he worked that trade all his life.
In 1971, he moved his family to his summer home in Milford, DE. Ray worked at Schatz and Schatz and then K.B. Coldiron in Selbyville until he retired.
Mr. Drumheller and his late wife Naomi were members of Avenue United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed O gauge trains, watching the Eagles, and working around the house.
Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Naomi Drumheller, his son, Charles W. Drumheller, and his beloved dog, Charlie.
He is survived by his son, William C. Drumheller, his daughter, Rae I. Smith and her husband Scott, his grandchildren, Joshua W. Bailey and his wife Katherine, Ryan S. Smith and his wife Kassie, and Christopher D. Bailey and his wife Patty, his great grandchildren Nathan, Austin, and Blaire Bailey, and is expecting his fourth great grandchild in June, and his beloved dog, Spot.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday 12/19.
Burial is private.
Flowers are accepted, or donations may be given to Carey’s Church, c/o Josephine Dorey, 22750 Carey’s Camp Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
