Paul James Homlish, Jr.

MILFORD - Paul James Homlish, Jr. went to the Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He was 79.

Paul was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 22, 1935, son of the late Paul James and Florence (Abel) Homlish.

Mr. Homlish was employed with the United States Air Force and retired as a CMSgt after 25 years of service to his country. For over ten years after retirement he was a proud poultry farmer in Greenwood.

Paul had great love for his family and his faith. He was a devoted member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Milford where he was very active in many church functions.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Homlish was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia J. Homlish, a son, Michael J. Homlish, and a sister, Florence Savic.

He is survived by three sons, John Homlish, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN, Steven Homlish, Sr. of Hartley, and Paul J. Homlish III of Wilmington; a daughter, Cherelyn Homlish of Milford; two brothers, James Homlish of Coopersburg, PA, and Robert Homlish of Freehold, NJ; a sister, Cherelyn Zara of Edison, NJ; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-6 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford.

Burial with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford, DE, 19963.
