Pastor Mark L. Graham, age 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born on February 25, 1952 in Johnson City, NY, to Oris and Shirley (Briggs) Graham.
Pastor Graham served as a pastor for 49 years in central New York before moving to Milford, DE where he was a member of Berean Community Church. All who knew him recognized his profound love for his wife, Diane, and his family. He founded the Genesis Ministries where he helped countless people solve their problems through the Scriptures. As a gifted Bible teacher, he taught seminary classes, spoke at conferences, and served the WMHR radio station in Syracuse, NY with his program “Thinking Biblically” that reached thousands. However, his most treasured ministry was shepherding God’s people through the local church.
His love for God spilled over to his delight in God’s creation. He loved the great outdoors, especially camping and hiking in the Adirondacks. In high school and college, he was a competitive wrestler and pursued his love for the sport through coaching local high school wrestling teams.
He is remembered with love by his wife of nearly 50 years, Karen Diane Graham; four children: Julie (Conroy) Lewis, Jennifer Fisher, Nathaniel (Kim) Graham, Kristen (Lewis) McKennon; 12 grandchildren: Jessica, Jared, Zachary, Kayla, Josiah, Melony, Jillian, Jacie, Hannah, Aria, D’Sean, and Londyn; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Terry and Blake Graham and sister Donna Terwilliger. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Titus and Noah.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, at 11 AM at Berean Community Church, 2709 Milford Harrington Hwy, Milford, DE 19963. Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery in Manlius, NY, at a later date.
