Mary Meredith

Mary “Ginger” Leaming Meredith, 76, died on September 1, 2026, in Milford, Delaware.

Born on January 17, 1950, in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, Ginger was the eldest of seven children born to Joe and Joan Leaming of Radnor, who both preceded her in death.

She was a 1968 graduate of Radnor High School and later attended Harcum College, then known as Harcum Junior College.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Thom (Milford, DE), a son Morgan (Bette) and daughter Kyle (Joe), both of Los Angeles, CA and her first grandchild, Miles Hamilton, also of Los Angeles.

Ginger began her professional life with TV Guide magazine, where she worked for nearly a decade after high school at TV Guide's home office in Radnor and their office in Dallas, Texas. After those years, she became a full-time stay-at-home mother, devoting herself to that role for the years that followed.

Ginger also gave generously of her time in the community. Ginger volunteered at the Devon Horse Show and was involved for a decade with the Trenton Branch of the National Giving Alliance, formerly known as the Needlework Guild of America(NGA). During her years with the organization, she also served a term as its chapter president. She also volunteered for years at Meals on Wheels in Naperville, IL

A member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Milford, Delaware, Ginger remained connected to her faith from an early age until her passing.

She is survived by her four sisters, twins Pat Hughes (Gene) of Chestnut Hill, and Pam Drueding (Bernie) of Wayne; Liz Gallagher (Joe) of Chadds Ford; and Jodi Bell (Tom) of East Norriton; and two brothers, Joe Leaming ( Roe) of Wayne, and Scott Leaming of Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Ginger will be remembered for a life marked by attention to family, her selfless service to the community, her deep faith in God, and her warm presence that always brought joy to those around her. She was also known from a young adulthood as the life of the party and as someone who was always seen with a smile on her face.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends starting at 3 p.m. Monday September 7th at one of Ginger's early Main Line favorites, the Berwyn Tavern.
