Marjorie Cresson Dobson

Of Milford, Delaware, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 90.

Marjorie was born on January 11, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Young) Mullholland.

She was employed for nine years with the American Red Cross in Dover during the Vietnam conflict but for most of her life, she was a full time homemaker.

Mrs. Dobson lived in Atlantic Beach, Florida for 10 years enjoying the warm climate and meeting many new friends in that area. She was also an avid bridge player.

She was the oldest living member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Milford and was active with the Christ Church Women for many years.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, James Cresson, Jr., her second husband, Dr. Leslie M. Dobson and by her son, James L. Cresson.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Larry Price of Glen Mills, PA; four grandchildren, Brad Price, Susan Papson, Caleb Cresson and Tacy Cresson; two step-grandchildren, Jeremy C. Coffey and Jessica Coffey and two great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.

Services and burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
