Marie I. Roeill
Age 79, of Milford, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital.
Marie was born on August 5, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Jerome and Helen (Tarantello) Capone.
Besides her role as a homemaker and mother, Mrs. Roeill worked for three years with New York Telephone in Hempstead, NY, before taking a job as a cafeteria employee with the Oceanside, NY, Middle School and High School. Marie later accepted a position with the Jamaica Savings Bank on Long Island, NY, where she remained for 12 years.
She was a member of the Milford Senior Center and the St. John's Catholic Church in Milford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Richard Thomas Roeill, Sr. in 2011.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Roeill and her boyfriend Larry Junda of Levittown, NY; three sons and daughters-in-law; Richard T., Jr. and Annmarie Roeill of Long Island, NY; Donald G. and Denise Roeill of Marlboro, NJ; and Ronald J. and Joan Roeill of Rockaway, NY; a brother, Dr. Anthony Capone of Oceanside, NY; two sisters, Antoinette "Ann" Vitale of Williamsburg, VA; and Jo-Ann Uebele of Bridgeville, DE; ten grandchildren; April, James, Danny, Jennifer, Angelica, Julianne, Zachary, Daniela, Nikki and Jack; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Julia.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and again from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave, Milford.
Burial will follow the service at the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave, Milford, DE, 19963 or to the South Bowers Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 314, Milford, DE, 19963.
