Margaret Evelyn Bray, age 75, of Milford, Del., died January 10, 2026, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late John J. McDonnell and Grace McDonnell.

Raised in Southeastern PA, Margaret graduated from Radnor High School. She attended The University of Maryland, London, UK, and University Park, MD and graduated with a Registered Nursing degree from Delaware County Community College Pennsylvania.

Her career included employment with the Louisiana State University Medical Center, LA and Bayhealth Medical Center, DE, as RN, RNFA, CNOR, and Lead RN Gyn/General Specialties.

After retirement, Margaret completed the Emergency Medical Technician Rescue Program, DE State Fire School. She continued parallel work at the Dover SurgiCenter, the Blue Hen Surgical Center, and the Cheer Adult Center. Margaret volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in Milford.

Margaret was well known for her vivacious personality and for her gracious manner. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge and interests with everyone, and enjoyed her hobbies of crafts and painting with watercolors. Margaret was fastidious about health, fitness, bike riding, and nutrition.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, sibling, grandmother and friend.

Margaret was surely one of those people who really made a difference and one who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her older brother and is survived by a sister and two younger brothers. She is also survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Larry Bray, four sons, two stepchildren, their spouses and eight grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to a Mass for Christian Burial held at St. John’s the Apostle Catholic Church on February 21, 2026 at 11AM. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers donations, in Margaret’s memory, to the BayHealth Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
