Mabel D. Stevenson Wollter

Of Milford, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at Courtland Manor in Dover. She was 92.

Mabel was born on October 8, 1918 in Milford, daughter of the late Albert and Della (Millman) Donovan.

She was employed as an inspector for Milford Stitching in Milford for 25 years before retiring in 1982.

Mrs. Wollter enjoyed the simple pleasures of homemaking and time spent with her family. She also cherished the special bond of friendship over many years and activities she had shared with her late nephew, Larry Donovan.

She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Stevenson in 1954.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; William E. and Carol Stevenson and Dolphus I. and Nancy Stevenson, all of Milford; a brother, Cecil Donovan of Lincoln; three sisters, Betty Jean Jarrell of Wilmington, Alberta Maneval and Wanda Rash, both of Milford; five grandchildren, Richard J. Stevenson, Scott R. Stevenson, Matthew E. Stevenson, Todd W. Stevenson and Heather L. Stevenson and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Union St, Milton.

Burial will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Milford Chess Club, c/o Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St, Milford, DE, 19963.
