Kenneth R. Xiques

On September 15, 2025, Kenneth R Xiques, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. He was 85.

Mr. Xiques was born on June 12, 1940 in Staten Island, NY, to the late Donald and Maybel Xiques.

He graduated from Brick Township High School in Brick Township New Jersey in 1959.

After high school Ken joined the Air Force and honorably served our country from 1960 to 1984. He was a flight engineer on C-141s and C-5s. He served in the Cuban missile crisis, Vietnam, Faulkin's war, Israel/Lebanon crisis, Iraq War, Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Panama conflict, Israeli 7-day war, and was on the hostage rescue mission in Iran.

MSgt. Xiques served in the Air Force reserves from 1984 to 1994.

He also was on the Coast Guard Auxiliary team and taught boating safety courses in Delaware.

As a civilian Mr. Xiques worked as Head of Maintenance for Wild Quail Golf and Country Club.

In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and golfing.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gloria Xiques. He is also survived by his son, David John Xiques and his husband William Skaff, and his daughter, Michele Xiques Arnold and her husband Kenneth.

Mr. Xiques was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Edward Xiques, his sisters, Mitzie Ascough, and Dee DeBow, and his brother Bill Xiques.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home from 10:30AM to 12PM on Saturday 9/20, with a funeral service at 12 noon.

A Lunch reception will be hosted by the family at Etta’s after the funeral.

Interment will be Monday 9/22 at Millsboro Veterans Cemetery at 1PM.
