Kenneth Byron Jones

On July 8, 2026, Kenneth Byron Jones, 60, of Lincoln, Delaware, passed away.

Ken was the beloved husband of Wynette for 36 years, devoted father of Taylor and Bailey, cherished son of Dot, and dear brother of Bill and Steve (Brenda). He was predeceased by his father, Jim.

Ken graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1990 and a Master of Architecture in 1992. He spent his early career with Grimm & Parker Architects before he and his partner, Wes Bridges, founded CB Design Group. Together, they grew the firm from a one-room office into a national company with 23 employees. Ken derived immense pleasure from the people aspect of architecture including mentoring younger architects and providing excellent client interactions. Architecture was central to Ken’s life, both as his profession and as a creative calling. He loved to draw and authored five novels under the name K.B. Jones. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, and cheering for the Orioles and Ravens, teams he followed faithfully throughout his life. Ken will be remembered for his creativity, dedication, and the life and career he built with the people he loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Evans Funeral Chapel, 3 Newport Drive, Forest Hill, Maryland 21050. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 p.m.
