Julia Sorokach

On January 11^th, 2024, Julia Sorokach, 87, of Felton, DE, passed away with her loving family by her side. During the early hours of the morning, she peacefully went home to be with the Lord.

Born on January 1^st, 1937, to the late Paul and Catherine Hewchuck, Julia grew up alongside many brothers and sisters in Port Carbon, PA. After graduating high school, her journey would see her travel across the country, briefly living in Albuquerque, NM, and then in Howell, NJ. In her later years, Julia moved to Whiting, NJ, where she was the proud homeowner of a studio condominium and became an integral part of the retirement community.

Julia had an enormous heart. She was generous and loyal, committed to both her friends and family. Julia’s warmth and compassion forever impacted those around her. She will be remembered for all the love she shared and will be missed dearly.

Julia was preceded in death by her son, Michael Sorokach. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Gosack, and her husband, Glenn; her granddaughters, Kay Bernard and her husband, Larry; Heather Gosack and her husband, Matthew Shrensel; and her great-grandchildren, Shay and Milo Shrensel.

A small graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday, January 17^th, at 12 noon.
