Joyce Vallely

On Sept 17, 2023 Joyce Marie (Scott) Vallely, age 82, passed away peacefully at Barclay Friends Nursing Home, West Chester, PA.

She was born on April 19, 1941 in Ardmore, PA to the late Lewis S. Scott and Marie Alice (Stallings) Scott. 

Joyce had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on her face. She was the wife of the late John P. Vallely to whom she was married for 54 years.  Mrs. Vallely had a love for all animals but especially cats. She would feed and take care of many strays. She also found pleasure in visiting various nature preserves.  Mrs. Vallely loved the snow geese and going to Bombay Hook. She and John traveled to many of the National Parks as well as Alaska and Hawaii which brought them much joy.

Preceding her in death were brothers: Lewis S. Scott, Jr., Richard L. Scott, William Eugene Scott, Ernest N. Scott, and sister Alice Jeanette Scott (Miller)

She is survived by brothers James E. Scott (Deborah) and Robert S. Scott (Andrea), and many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Joyce and will miss her happy nature.

The family will receive visitors at the Rogers Funeral Home from 10AM to 11AM on Friday Sept. 29th, with a funeral service at 11AM.  Interment is Millsboro Veterans Cemetery.
