John Canevari, 56, of Dover, DE formerly of Mashpee, MA and Norwalk, CT passed away at home on October 20, 2021 from natural causes.
John was born in Norwalk, CT to Louis Theodore and Dorothy DeVack Canevari and graduated from Norwalk High School and The Culinary Institute of America.
He launched his career on Cape Cod, MA where he worked as a chef in the resort industry for several years before relocating to Delaware. John enjoyed spending time with family and sharing his culinary talents, which were much appreciated by all.
John is survived by his mother, Dorothy Canevari and stepfather, Dr. Irwin Weisbrot of Norwalk, CT, brothers Thomas Canevari (Vickie) of Stratford, CT and Michael Canevari of Milford, DE, a sister Karen Staff (Peter) of Norwalk, CT nieces Margaux and Dolly Canevari and nephews Kevin and Stephen Staff.
He was predeceased by his father, Louis “Ted” Canevari and sister-in-law, Cynthia Canevari.
Interment will be private and a celebration of John’s life will be planned for a later date.
