Jesse M. Chisenhall

On Monday April 20th, Jesse M. Chisenhall, peacefully passed away at his home in Milford. He was 78.

Jesse was born on July 7th, 1947, in Buckhorn, KY, to the late Elbert and Irene Chisenhall.

As a young man he moved to Delaware to work as a Carpenter. He started working at Custom Cabinets with his two brothers, until they decided to start their own cabinet shop, which ran until his younger brother passed away. Mr. Chisenhall then worked for the Sam Yoder Truss Company until he retired.

Jesse was an avid coon hunter and fisherman. He loved to work with his hands and enjoyed to work on and watch dirt track stock cars.

Mr. Chisenhall is preceded in death by his wife, Josie Chisenhall, and his brothers, Henry and Phillip Chisenhall.

He is survived by his children, Jason Chisenhall and his wife Michelle, Amy Wells and her fiancé Paul Caple, and Zeb Chisenhall and his wife Dr. Jessie Howard, his grandchildren, Eric Layton and his wife Sarah, Elizabeth Layton, Brianna Wells, Trey Wells, and Caroline Chisenhall, his brothers, Sim Chisenhall and his wife Faye, and Eblen Chisenhall and his wife Darlene, his sister in law, Sylvia Chisenhall, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 9AM to 11AM on Friday 4/24, with a funeral service at 11AM.
