Hilda S. Walls
Of Milford, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully Sunday, February 6, 2011 in Harrison Senior Living of Georgetown. She was 98.
Hilda was born on February 20, 1912 in Milford, daughter of the late George E. and Cora (Denney) Scott.
She was employed in the plant operations with the L.D. Caulk Co in Milford where she worked for many years before retiring.
Mrs. Walls was a long time devoted member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford participating in many church activities over the years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walls was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. Walls in March 1986; a son, John S. "Jack" Walls in February 2003; her brother, George O. Scott and her sister, Dorothy Johnson.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Bonnie Walls of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Walls of Milford; five grandchildren; Tracy Walls-Pulling and her husband Rick, Kris Shockley and her husband Steve, Joy Short and her husband Donald, B. Walls and his wife Carol and Lisa Walls and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St, Milford, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Milford Community Cemetery on N. Walnut Street.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St, Milford, DE, 19963.
