On Wednesday December 3rd, Helene Brego, peacefully passed away at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford. She was 87.
Helene was born on September 14, 1938, in Irvington, New Jersey, to the late John and Helen Warga.
She grew up in Union, New Jersey before moving to Sayreville, New Jersey and graduating from Sayreville High School in 1956.
Helene worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Shapiro in New Brunswick and Eastern Dental in Woodbridge.
Her and her late husband moved to Milford, Delaware in 1992.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed volunteering for “Read Aloud” which was part of the Head Start Program for school children. Helene also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband James L. Brego and her son Gregory Brego.
Helene is survived by her sons, John Brego and his wife Laura, and Glenn Brego, and her grandchildren, Kyle, Colin, Emily, and Joseph Brego.
The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 9AM to 10AM on Wednesday, December 10th.
A graveside service will be held at Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery in Millsboro at 11AM.
