Helen Dickerson Clendaniel
Of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was 85.
Mrs. Clendaniel was born September 26, 1925 in Milton, daughter of the late Clarence and Lilly Pearl (Gray) Dickerson.
Helen was a full time homemaker most of her life.
She was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church in Milton.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years the Rev. Dr. Donald O. Clendaniel, Sr. of Milton; a son, Rev. Donald O. Clendaniel II of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Karen C. Ambrose of Myrtle Beach, SC; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the Goshen United Methodist Church, 103 Mulberry St., Milton, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Entombment will follow in the Goshen Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Chestnut St, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the St. John's United Methodist Church, c/o Phyllis Hitchens, 22338 Gravel Hill Rd, Georgetown, DE, 19947.
