Florence B. Green Swartzentruber
GREENWOOD - Florence B. Green Swartzenbruber, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 73.
Florence was born on April 10, 1940 in Rockland, Delaware, daughter of the late John R. and Alverta Welch Brown.
She was a full time homemaker who enjoyed scrap booking, adding to her lighthouse collection, embroidering, and in season, watching the activities of her favorite birds, the purple martins.
Florence was also involved as part of a harmonizing quartet, and a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church in Harrington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George L. Green, and her two brothers.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Beth Green, Lewis and Sandra Green, and Lawrence and Cynthia Green, all of Greenwood; a daughter, Rene Johnson of Milford; three sisters; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow the service in the St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963 or to the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE, 19952.
