Ellen M. Camarote

On June 9th, 2026, Ellen M. Camarote peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She was 84.

Ellen was born on January 29, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Emmons and Florence Thomas.

She grew up in Mount Ephraim, N.J. and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School.

Mrs. Camarote worked at Strawbridge and Clothier in Voorhees, N.J for many years.

Her and her late husband retired to Harrington, DE in 1995.

She was a member of Delaware Choral Society, St. John’s the Apostle Choir, and St. Bernadette’s Choir.

Ellen enjoyed painting, gardening, arts and crafts shows, and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John P. Camarote, II, her brother, Barry Thomas, and brother in law, Bob Siri.

Ellen is survived by her children, John P. Camarote, III and his wife Wendy, Christina Murphy and her partner David Stiles, Juliana Nasatka and her husband Anthony, and Nicholas Camarote and his wife Dolores, her grandchildren, John Murphy and his wife Caitriona, Anthony Nasatka, Allie Nasatka, Zachory Camarote, and Jacob Camarote, her great grandchildren, Jack and Dean, her sisters, Joan Siri and Leah Smith and her husband Joe, and her sister in law, Eileen Thomas.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, from 10AM to 12PM on Friday 6/19. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 109 Dixon Street, Harrington at 1PM.

Burial is Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington, DE.
