Delores S. Fountain

On November 3, 2026, Delores Savage Fountain went home to be with the Lord.

She was born in Milford on September 24, 1938, to the late William and Mabel Savage.

Delores graduated from Milford High School and attended Goldey Beacom College.

She married Robert C. Fountain of Bridgeville, DE in 1962 and lived at Carney’s Point, N.J. for 45 years.

Delores was the Guidance Secretary at Penns Grove High School. After retirement in 1994 she became a member of the Penns Grove – Carneys Point Women’s Club, a member of the Sakima Country Club, its Women’s Golf League, and an artist specializing in oil portraits, having received a number of Grand and First Place ribbons.

In 2008, she and her husband returned to Milford and built a home on her childhood homestead.

She is survived by her husband Robert, her daughter, Annette Mulrooney and her husband Michael, her grandchildren, Blaise Fountain, Morgan Dennison and her husband Dillan, and her great granddaughter, MacKayla Fountain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Michael Fountain, and her sister, Wanda Lee and Elaine Ventura.

A private interment will be held at Todd’s Chapel in Andrewsville, DE (Greenwood, DE).
