Bernice Baker Campbell

Of Lincoln, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 84.

Bernice was born on December 15, 1925 in Laurel, daughter of the late James and Mary Edith (Hill) Baker.

Mrs. Campbell was employed for 12 years with L.D. Caulk in Milford retiring in 1988 to return to her full time duties as a homemaker.

After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with family and taking trips with friends from the Milford Senior Center.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #9 in Georgetown and the Lincoln United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William L. Campbell, Sr. in 2006, a son, Wayne Michael Campbell, three brothers; James Baker, Calvin Baker and Everett Baker and two sisters; Ruth Bauguess and Alice Baker.

She is survived by two sons; William L. Campbell, Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Georgetown and C. Michael Campbell of Lincoln and his fiancA�AC.e, Susan Swain of Milford; a brother, Howard Baker and his wife Beverly of Seaford and two grandchildren; Lt. C. Michael Campbell, Jr. and his wife, Capt. Kathleen Campbell of Virginia Beach, VA and Beth Liane Campbell of Georgetown.

Services and burial will be held privately.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963.
