Becky Tatman

Arlene “Becky” Rebecca Tatman, 78, peacefully passed away on March 3, 2026. Becky was a beloved member of the community and will be greatly missed.

She was born October 15, 1947 to Zora and Virginia Tatman. Becky graduated from Felton High School in 1965. After high school she had brief employment at ILC in Frederica before becoming the Physical Education Teacher at Holy Cross School for 41 years where she made a positive impression on over 4000 students.

After retirement, Becky enjoyed working at Loblolly Acres, with her niece, helping with school tours, and enjoyed seeing and supporting past students. During Becky’s down time she loved coaching volleyball, basketball and softball during the 70’s and was a lifelong, avid baseball fan. She could spend hours talking with her friends and socializing in the community. Becky spent much of her later years at the Frederica Senior Center and was an active member of the Frederica Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Zora and Virginia Tatman, and her sister Barbara Ann Warren.

She leaves behind her sisters, Doris Hobbs (Sam) and Elneta Sheridan, her niece, Cheryl Epps who cared for her, her best friend, Mandy Slody, and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was that she recently became a great-great-great Aunt.

The family will receive visitors to honor Becky's life at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford on Thursday, March 12th, from 5pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Friday at 11AM. Interment will take place at Barretts Chapel.
