Barbara N. Iles

On July 24, 2025, Barbara N. Iles, peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She was 84.

Mrs. Iles was born on February 21, 1941, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Ernest and Rose Nesler.

She attended Henry C. Conrad High School, graduating in 1959. Barbara then completed the Nursing Program at Wilmington General Hospital, where she then worked at up to her retirement.

Her and her husband are faithful members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, and joined many committees there.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, gardening, antiquing, reading, global travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Iles is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Gary Iles. She is also survived by her son, Gary Iles and his wife Glennise, her daughter, Devon Weyher, her grandchildren, Zachary Weyher and his girlfriend Hallie Omohundro, and Riley Weyher and her fiancé Keagan Bryson, her sister, Judi McKnitt, her brother David Nesler and his wife Margie, eleven nieces, and a nephew.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Hovatter Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave., Milford, from 10AM to 11AM Monday August 4th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford at 12PM on Monday.

Interment is Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to either the Cancer Research at University of Pennsylvania or St. John’s the Apostle Church in Milford, Delaware.
