Audrey A. Savage
Age 88, of Milford, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital.
Audrey was born on August 19, 1923 in Milford, daughter of the late John and Sadie Allen.
She began work as a secretary for the L.D. Caulk Co in Milford for several years before accepting a position in the same capacity for Vinyard Fuel Co, now Peninsula Oil, in Milford. Lastly, Mrs. Savage was employed in the office of Young & Revel in Milford, where she remained for ten years before retiring.
Audrey loved crocheting, knitting and reading.
She was a member of the Milford Senior Center and the auxiliary of the Blue Hen VFW Post #6483.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by her husband, Eurie M. Savage, Jr. in 1995 and her brother, Jack Allen.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie E. Savage of Ellendale; a son and daughter-in-law, Merritt A. and Rose Savage of Clayton; a sister-in-law, Helen Allen of Milford; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call two hours prior.
Burial will be held following the service at the Milford Community Cemetery on Route 113.
