Amanda Marie Jennings of Dover, DE passed away suddenly in her sleep on October 30, 2025. Amanda was born January 12, 1995, in KGH; Dover, DE to Debra A. Schmitt-Jennings and David E. Jennings Jr, both of Dover, DE. Amanda is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Dave & Elaine Jennings Sr, her aunt Sherry Jennings, Pop-pop George Cage and Ashlan Cage.

Amanda is survived by her sister & best friend Rachel M. Jennings/John Lloyd, her brothers Zachary D. Jennings & Allen J. Jennings/Briana Vilone of Dover. Her maternal grandmother Diana Falkenheimer-Cage; Dover, DE. Her maternal grandfather Chas Schmitt/Donna Herring, PA. Three nephews Kaizer & Karter Lloyd and one on the way Colton Jennings. Her uncles Chaz/BillieJoe Schmitt; Milford, DE & Phillip/Brandy Schmitt, GA. Her aunts Tammy/Sonny Foulk; Hartly, DE and Ruth/Brian Emery, PA. Aunt Autumn and Uncle George Cage Jr, OK. Her God parents-cousin Desi/Michael Esposito; Georgetown, DE. Many cousins, Darlene/Jasyn Hopkins, she had a special kind of bond with her 2 cousins with DS Barry Foskey & Austin Gearheart; Heather Mason, Samantha Sale, Steven Foulk/Chelsie, Becky Cook & many, many more…

Amanda was born the 1st child and daughter of 4 kids, she was born with Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome and that never held her back. She was bright, funny, very caring & loved everyone! She never had any hate in her heart! She began her journey in life @the pudding program in Dover in 1996, Child watch, she graduated from Caesar Rodney High in 2013 & Charlton School in 2016. She loved many but there are also many close to her heart with a special bond we will never forget, she loved and adored her BFF/Ronnie Woodus Jr. since middle school & over 10 years, her baby doll “Angel”, her white boy Jeff Peer who loves her & keeps her smiling, the entire Down Syndrome community, CR/Charlton friends especially Mrs. Polichetti & Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Vanderwende & Debbie Swain, Mrs. Beck & Mrs. Anna, Mrs. Rodriquez & Mrs. Short, Mr. Stoner & we will never forget “Mrs. Trina” or Nurse Brown and many more. Few friends that were more like family to her Faith Hall, Ashley Clark, Becky Miller-Nash, and her buddy Paul & Tyler Lowman who loved her and was always there for her, her advocate and support system Debra Deldeo, Joy Salyer and so many more.

She always reminded us that she was 30 years old, she is now “FOREVER 30”

She was always involved in a lot of extracurricular activities including Special Olympics, KSI, the Polar Bear Plunge, VSA and every year the Rehoboth Beach Buddy Walk. “TEAM JENNINGS”. Amanda loved to write in notebooks daily, she was a Face Book Queen; always in the middle of someone’s post or conversation, making videos on TikTok, she loved YouTube and watching movies over and over including Madea. She worked as a cleaner for McDonald’s, Kent County courts, and toll plazas in Dover. She loved attending Service Source, with Mr. Henry and all her new friends, especially Deja. She loved to Bowl and play basketball, she loved to dance to her Wii, she said she was exercising. She loved to eat spaghetti and we can’t forget french fries with ketchup. She was loved by so many and we thank you all for the love and support shown in this difficult time we will never forget any of you. Amanda will never be forgotten!
